Apothecary bottles

These bottles would make a great reference image for people (like me) who are trying to re-make that old apothecary look.

I Googled them so you don't have to!

Prunus: Family of tree. Some of the family member's fruits are edible, but in general everything is toxic (contains cyanide).

Hydrangea: Family of 75 plants. All are toxic with forms of cyanide. Some daring (read: stupid) people smoke the leaves, but its spectacularly risky.

Cinnamomum: Genus of evergreen tree. Some of the members are actually where cinnamon comes from.

Thuja: Spectacularly poisonous. One species's leaves can be turned into a tea which is very high in Vitamin C.

Chionanthus: Tree whose roots have herbal properties.

Picture was taken about 6 months ago at the Petaluma Antique Fair, with the dealer's permission. He also sold cannabis bottles (from when it was a drug, oh so long ago) as well as heroine documentation from when prescriptions could be written for headaches!

I took this picture 6 months ago, right after I got my new camera.

It reminds me that I think I have messed up the settings on my camera. I am not getting this kinda sharpness out of my current shot.
