This photo was taken at Maker Fair 2011 during one of the band Arc Attacks's performances.
In case you can't tell, they put two kids from the audience in that metal cage. Lucky b*****ds.
The coils are putting out over 500,000 volts, which could kill. However, because electricity is fantastically good at taking only the most efficient route (the electric cage is a much better conductor then they are), the children are in very little danger.
